My name is Nicole Hogander and thank you for visiting Hogander Photography's website. Let me start out by telling you a little bit about myself. I am married and have 3 children. I work out of a home office. I love to do both outdoor/location photography and indoor/studio photography. I use studio equipment that is easily portable and quick to set up for shoots in my home or yours.
When I was six years old I got a 110 film camera as a gift and started taking pictures of everything-family, trees, cars, houses anything around. At thirteen years old I started taking photography class in Jr. High and realized then that I wanted to have my camera with me all of the time. I used a 35 mm Olympus film SLR for many years. After having my children and taking tons of photos of them, I decided I wanted to pursue a career in photography. I got a job at a school photography company. I did that for three years before I wanted more. Starting my solitary professional career with a digital Canon Rebel SLR. Shot My first wedding in 2005 and knew as I snapped the first shot that there was nothing in this world like taking photos of such a joyous occassion. Now using all of my creativity and my eye for taking a portrait shot, weddings although hard work, are my favorite thing to photograph. I currently use a digital Canon 20D SLR and really like it's variety of options. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't take a photograph of something and I love that. To me this isn't just a career but a great way to live life, with a camera in my hand!
I have done many different kinds of photography including: weddings, candid, portraiture and nature/outdoor. I have also done many different types of photography at schools: yearbook photos, large groups, sports, dance and candid.
As of August 2007, I am an award winning photographer for a wedding photograph I shot! I'm very proud of this accomplishment!!
